Day #7 🐠🔥
Unexpected update… the Flowerhorn is arriving EARLIER than expected tomorrow 😅📦🐟
The tank is still in the middle of the nitrogen cycle, but we’re seeing solid progress every day 👨🏻🔬
Current parameters:
• Ammonia: ~0.25 ppm
• Nitrite: ~1.0–2.0 ppm
• Nitrate: 5–10+ ppm
• pH: 7.6
✅ Crystal clear water
✅ Nitrites processing
✅ Nitrates increasing
✅ Heavy aeration & filtration running 24/7
✅ Pothos added for natural nitrate absorption 🌱
✅ Beneficial bacteria growing fast
At this point the tank is officially alive — now waiting for the nitrite spike to crash before full stabilization 💪
The Flowerhorn lands tomorrow morning before noon 👑🐠
So now it’s crunch time 😅
Looking for advice! Bought a used IM 120 gallon AIO tank from LFS. When we got tank, the inside glass was a bit foggy. LFS said fog would go away with water. We added water and things seemed ok until we turned lights on. Fog is definitely still there. This pic seems like where previous owner had his nori clip. Tried scraping it a bit. Nothing seemed to change.
Wondering if anyone knows how to clean it. Tank is newly cycled and I added fish from a smaller tank. Could move the fish back to smaller tank if I need to empty the 120. It would suck, but it will only get harder given more time.
So anyone have tricks to help? Either with water or without? Thanks yall!
Update- Firefish went in first, Bengaii and Pink Wrasse 2 weeks later due to stocking availability. All doing well so far. Update on Week 11-12 coming soon as that was my first panic disaster week!
Trochus snail eggs or sperm? It’s been doing this for 20 minutes.
Do you guys think that a file fish will destroy my rock flower anemones? What do you guys think?

Getting an anemone tomorrow from a friend looking at where a good starting placement would be. Obviously I know they move just talking about where to initially place it. Any recommendations?
Anyone local looking for a free sea hare to borrow in the central fl area?
I have a issue with my BTA seen at the end of the video. All my other corals are doing fantastic and really pushing out polyps. But the anemone has not wanted to get larger than it currently is. It moved there when I put it in the tank almost a month ago. Any tips or ideas what the problem could be?
It is getting too big for my 15 gallon he will eat frozen food like tank
Scooter blenny
Hey guys need some help. I got this RFA a couple weeks back at Reefing USA NY. WhenI added it to the tank, I put it with my other 5 RFA and it was doing fine and moving around trying to find a comfy spot Im guessing. Well I found it under one of my other larger RFA after not being able to find it for a couple days. Does it look okay? Is it going to be okay? I currently have it in a little floating container to just keep an eye on it
Looking for advice! We just set up a second smaller tank (60gl) and now cannot decide what to put in it. We originally had plans to do a seahorse tank but after research, have decided NOT to go that direction.
We have 125g setup now with more peaceful fish. One option is to relocate all my small fish into the smaller tank and then put a snowflake eel into the 125 with my blue tang, scopas tang & foxface.
Or build a second stock list in the new tank. Water is cycling now so we have some time to build it out. Suggestions welcome! 😄
Got a mangrove in the corner. Roots are hanging in mid hoping it will grow down. 3d printed a cover to help hid the root. Grow light with ability to narrow the focus. Plant came bit sick due to weather but hoping it recovers. Anyone has experience with mangrove in tank?
