Description
The Flametail blenny is a small, perch-like marine fish prized for its elongated body, expressive behavior, and striking tail coloration. It spends much of its time resting on rockwork, darting between crevices, and watching its surroundings. This species is best kept in a mature aquarium with ample hiding places and stable water quality.

Requires a well-established saltwater aquarium with stable parameters, good filtration, moderate water flow, plenty of live rock, caves, and secure hiding spots. Typical reef conditions of 72-78°F, pH 8.1-8.4, and salinity 1.023-1.025 are recommended.
Behavior
Active and observant, often perching on rocks and making quick dashes through the aquarium. It may be territorial toward similar-shaped fish and can display mimic-like behavior.
