Description
A slender, pale brownish moray freckled with fine dark spots, distinguished by a grey head and striking white irises. It is a nocturnal ambush predator that hides in rockwork by day and will eat any fish or crustacean it can swallow, though it is comparatively mild-mannered toward similarly sized tankmates. Needs a FOWLR or fish-tolerant reef system with heavy, secured rockwork, strong filtration for its messy feeding, and an absolutely escape-proof lid.

The Greyface Moray Eel prefers a tank with plenty of hiding spots and a sandy substrate. It requires a large tank due to its size and should be kept in a well-filtered aquarium to ensure clean, healthy water.
Behavior
This species of eel is mostly nocturnal, hiding in rocks and crevices during the day and emerging at night to hunt for food. They are known to be somewhat aggressive, especially when threatened or during feeding times.
