Description
A uniformly jet-black dwarf angelfish with a velvety, unmarked body that may show faint blue sheen along the fin margins under reef lighting. It is a bold, active grazer that constantly picks at rockwork, and while generally reasonable with unrelated tankmates it is territorial toward other dwarf angels and should be kept one per tank. Provide a mature aquarium of at least 55-70 gallons with abundant live rock, caves and algae film; like most Centropyge it will sample LPS, zoanthids and clam mantles, so it is a gamble in a mixed reef.

The Midnight Angelfish prefers a well-lit tank with plenty of hiding spots. These fish do well in tanks with live rock for grazing and are more likely to thrive in environments that mimic their natural reef habitat.
Behavior
Midnight Angelfish are generally peaceful but can be semi-aggressive with other angelfish or similar looking species. They are known to be a bit shy and may spend time hiding when first introduced to a new environment.
