Kalkwasser adds both calcium and alkalinity in a balanced ratio, making it a cost-effective way to stabilize reef chemistry.
How to start safely
- Start with small additions through ATO only
- Target pH 8.1–8.4 and test alk daily for the first week
- Never dump concentrated slurry into the display
Best practices
Use a covered reservoir, mix with RO/DI, and dose mostly at night. Pair kalk with regular testing and adjust based on coral demand.
