Benvenuto! Aggiungendo quello che ha consigliato @JoseC588. Io affitterei un PAR meter dal tuo LFS e passerei la giornata a mappare la tua vasca con la lampada impostata su diversi livelli di intensità. In questo modo avrai molte più possibilità di successo quando si tratta di fornire ai coralli la giusta luce. Ti consiglierei anche di guardare i test kit, comprarli e iniziare a testare i parametri dell'acqua. Poi, fai come sto facendo io e impara come mantenere i tuoi parametri dell'acqua. Per esempio. Alcalinità. Ho preso una bottiglia di Red Sea Foundation B per ottenere i livelli giusti e mantenerli lì. Testando ogni giorno, ho scoperto che la mia alcalinità cala di 0,3 ogni 24 ore. Quindi una volta che rialzo un po' i miei livelli, dovrò dosare circa 3ml al giorno. Sono nuovo, proprio come te. Ho dovuto trattenere me stesso dal spendere centinaia di dollari in coralli e pesci. Perché? Perché non ho parametri stabili. È perché non so cosa sto facendo. Hahaha! Quindi prendiamola davvero con calma. Non vogliamo che la nostra prima (mia seconda) esperienza vada male in fretta solo perché abbiamo fretta! I bei coralli arriveranno presto abbastanza..
Welcome! Adding on to what @JoseC588 recommended. I'd go rent a PAR meter from your LFS and spend the day mapping out your tank with the light set to different intensity ratings. This way, you'll have a much better chance at success when it comes to providing coral with the right light. I would also recommend that you look into test kits, buy them, and start testing your water parameters. Then, do what I'm doing and learn how to maintain your water parameters. For instance. Alkalinity. I got a bottle of Red Sea Foundation B to get the levels right and keep them there. Through testing every day, I've found that my alkalinity drops 0.3 every 24 hours. So once I get my levels up a bit more, I'll have to dose about 3ml a day. Im new, just like you. I've had to refrain myself from dropping hundreds of dollars on coral and fish. Why? Because I don't have stable parameters. That's because I don't know what I'm doing. Hahaha! So let's take it really slow. We don't want our first (my second) experience to go sour fast all because we rushed things! The pretty coral will come soon enough..

Red Sea è un'azienda...non c'è bisogno di dosare adesso visto che non hai coralli... l'alk e gli altri parametri oscilleranno per un po' soprattutto visto che è un sistema nuovo...Fai solo cambi d'acqua periodici dopo che la vasca si è ciclata...all'incirca il 10% ogni settimana o ogni due settimane...sii paziente!! Il tempo è il tuo miglior amico in questo hobby...
Red Sea is a company...no need to dose now since you don't have corals... your alk and other parameters will fluctuate for a while especially since it's a brand new system...Just do periodic water changes after the tank has cycled...roughly 10% each week or every other week...be patient!! Time is your best friend in this hobby...

In realtà non sono d'accordo. Durante il ciclo l'alk cala e tira giù il ph. È qualcosa che dovresti monitorare anche se non hai coralli. Per quella fase di calo dell'alk durante il ciclo puoi guardare Seachem Reef Builder che è carbonato e bicarbonato che aiuta a rialzare alk e ph. Dopo vuoi comunque monitorare alk e cal anche senza coralli. Solo non così frequentemente. La ragione è che le tue rocce e la sabbia assorbiranno alk/cal estraendola dall'acqua. Puoi guardare all-for-reef che puoi mescolare e dosare manualmente o automaticamente. Il mag cadrà a posto ma non importa senza coralli.
I kinda disagree. When cycling alk drops and pulls ph down. This is something you should monitor even though you don't have corals. For that stage of alk drops during cycling you can link at seachem reef builder which is carbonate and bicarbonate which helps raise alk and ph. Afterwards you still want to monitor alk and cal even without corals. Just not as frequently. Reason is your rocks and sand will absorb alk/cal leaching it from the water. You can look at all-for-reef which you can mix and dose manually or automated. Mag will fall in line but doesn't matter with no corals.

Farò sicuramente più ricerche molto prima di ottenere coralli, ma potete spiegarmi velocemente cosa significa che i coralli sbiancano e come faccio a mantenere un corallo nuovo da sbiancamento se ho già coralli in vasca. Non ne ho ovviamente perché voglio andare piano ma ero curioso di sapere cosa fosse lo sbiancamento
I will definitely do more research way before I get coral, but can y’all quickly explain what it means for corals to bleach and how do I keep a new coral from bleaching if I already have coral in the tank. I don’t of course because I want to take it slow but I was curious what bleaching was

Fai semplicemente cambi d'acqua del 10% una volta a settimana, e non dosare niente. La lampada sembra potrebbe essere più forte di quello che ti serve. Calcola 1 o 2 watt per gallone
Just do 10% Water change s once a week, and don't dose anything. Light sounds like it could be a stronger than you need. Figure 1 to 2 watts per gallon

100w sembra un sacco per una vasca da 20g. Potrebbe essere necessario abbassarla parecchio una volta che aggiungi i coralli. Se è una vasca nuova, ci vorrà comunque un po' prima che si cicli e stabilizzi abbastanza per i coralli. È difficile dire i livelli senza un PAR meter. La cosa migliore è iniziare al minimo e aumentare l'intensità lentamente nel corso di giorni/settimane così i coralli non sbiancano.
100w seems like a lot for a 20g tank. You might need to tune it way down once you get corals in. If it's a new tank, it will take a while before you cycle and stabilize enough for corals, tho. Hard to tell the levels without a Par meter. Best is to start low and ramp up the intensity slowly over days/weeks so the corals don't bleach.
