Finally! Almost have the 75 gallon up and running, bull heads come in today and will finish up plumbing once I decide how I want to place my sump.
Is this a good height for the drain pipe? It’s about 1/2” below the weirs of the overflow (to the hole at the top). Would that be where to measure into the bigger hole further down?

Slight typo sorry! Would I need to measure to the top of the hole OR to the bigger holes on the side?
Do you know what style of drain you are doing? I’m only familiar with ‘Bean Animal’, as that is what I did. For that i had to put the curved pipe as low as possible in the over flow pipe. Are both of those PVC used for your drain? I can’t really tell what the one in the back is doing. My only worry is your current set up may be quite loud just from looking at it.
It’s a durso setup, sorry forgot to mention that. The pipe without the hole is the return.
Ok cool. With any over flow trial and error is best and don’t pvc cement the pieces together so you can easily adjust as needed.
Thanks for that info! I figured I’d just leave it hand tight since it’s the return so I can move around as needed. Some googling said sometime making more small holes up top can reduce the noise so I’ll just have to see how it is once it is running.
