What is everyone doing for backup power? I have a generator for when I'm here to hook up, but what is everyone doing if your not home? If I'm at work and the power goes out to get me until I get home. I was looking at the eco flow Delta 2 to run my return pump and heater. Will the Delta 2 automatically switch to battery if power goes out? My tank is only 20 gallons so it looses heat fast.

I have an APC battery back up with my return pump and heater plugged into it. I got it from Amazon for less than $100.

How long will it run?

I used an amp calculator online: about 11 hours (but thatโ€™s with the heaters running nonstop. That buys me plenty of time to run home (if Iโ€™m at work) and fire up my generator. If Iโ€™m in vacation or something Iโ€™m fooked, but it might be long enough for the power to be repaired.

I use a battery backup outlet strip from Amazon basics, so half of my plugs turn on automatically when power is cut. Lasts me about 2-3 hours for pump and heater being powered. For more, Iโ€™ve heard the ecotech marine vortech battery backups are a great option that can last days and give your tank circulation and air if you position it high up
