Anyone know what this is and why I’m getting it? Tanks over a year old. And it’s like all over my sand bed in patches.

It’s hard to tell but I’m thinking it’s either diatoms or dinoflagellates, But it looks more like diatoms to me, which show up when there’s more silicates in the water. If your nutrient levels are stable, it’s worth it to check your Rodi unit’s DI-resin compartment. It could be needing replacement and letting silicates into your newly made water.
I don’t have a rodi, I’ll test some time tmr, I noticed it showing up the past few weeks
