Hey guys I went away from my hobby for a while now I decided to come back and I am going to make a 5 gallon mini reef and I’m relying on the heavy rock and sand for the reef tank. I will try to make this a self sustainable ecosystem. Can’t wait to see how this turns out!

Nice start with the heavy rock and sand! That base can really help with natural filtration and provide great spots for corals and little critters to settle. Can’t wait to see what corals you add to bring some color and life in there!

What kind of rock is that?
Honestly I don’t know I got it once from a local fish store and I’ve had since my 20 gallon and now I’m using it
