Looks great. Why do you have one brute can high up?

User Avatar @MalEficent 1y

I have my RODI on top so I can create a gravity connection from my RODI to my saltwater. Basically I’ll have the option with the 1/4” T to send RODI water directly to the saltwater or I can open a valve and drain whatever is in my RODI can to my saltwater can without the need for a pump.

Gotcha. And then what are using to mix your saltwater and to pump into your tank. Just a loose pump at the bottom of the can or something plumbed in?

Im mixing with a simple wave maker. For transfer I’m temporarily using an external self priming pump (it’s sitting on the table) and sticking one end into the top of the can. Once I get everything plumbed it will be plumbed into the bottom. Then just a flexi hose to transfer into the tank. Will make it so I won’t need to have to move the pump back and forth from the RODI and salt.

Super sick setup are you dosing kalk with auto top off?

User Avatar @MalEficent 1y

I have a dosing pump set up for brightwells alk, mag and calc but I’ve had an impossible time keeping consistency because I’ve been buying water from two different LFS who use different salts so I just turned off dosing right now until I can get a better idea of consumption with using just the one salt. I do have an ATO set up so this setup also makes it really easy to refill my 5gal container considering I go through a lot of evaporation each day I’m constantly refilling.

I get that i use to use my lfs but then I was like it's way cheaper to just get a ro system yourself then I chose to get the same 4 stage you had prior and it worked out so far I do have alot of calsium loose and alk but not much mag
