Wanting to build a diy sump/refugium out of my old 75 gal tank for the 300 gal, it’ll be my first time doing a diy full sump, any suggestions on how to start and materials/ return pumps that have worked for others?

I did a DIY 40g sump. Id recommend buying an adjustable baffle kit. The adjustable become really useful because some skimmers work better at different heights and it just makes things easier when doing a water change. I did a Bean Animal overflow plumbing and it’s super quiet. 1st chamber overflow socks 2nd chamber skimmer 3rd chamber chaeto (macro-algae) 4th changer return pump. I am using a Hydor Seltz D return pump which has been great for 3 years now.
Thanks! I’ll definitely look into it!
