How long have they been in the tank?

User Avatar @reefgoose 156d

Couple months they have never really been amazing

Maybe try to lower them in the tank… your lights might be a little too strong for them.

Ok thank you for the help

Anytime my friend… I’ve got a bunch of Duncan in my system and they like the lower light but I do have them with a lot of flow lol.

Could be lighting or flow needs tweaking for it to open up more!

Water parameters?

Sometimes Duncan corals take a while to adjust after being fragged or moved, especially under blue lighting they can look pretty closed up. Make sure the flow isn’t too strong right on the frag because they prefer gentle but steady movement to encourage those polyps to open up!

Need details on lighting, flow, and water parameters.

If there were any big swings in parameters like alkalinity that may cause the stress. Otherwise it’s super hard to say. I have corals that die all the time in my tanks, and everything like my parameters are always in check. Sometimes there is no explaining it.
