Now it has a lot of algae

The lights are way too high

Any reason u want to get rid of it?

Way too much algae and hair algae so the rock and the sand bed look disgusting.

Rocks and sandbed will never stay white. Algae is normal. Put some turbo snails and hermit crabs to clean up the rocks and sand. Turn the lights down a smidge. It’s not ruined!

I’ve never had a problem with algae like that in my life with other tanks, I also had heavy clean up crew. The sand will never stay wight of course but never seen it like that. The picture I took when the tank looked clean and fresh before the disaster πŸ˜‚

Could be a combo of the size of the tank and the light. I have this tank and had issues with algae, and getting a turbo snail immediately fixed it
