Go with fine sand usually like 1 to 2 inches deep. Keeps stuff chill and helps denitrify. What kind of critters you planning to keep in there?

So 1-2 inches are enough? 2 inches are 5 centimeters, ive heard that theres a chance that gases can Form, thats why I ask about a dsb wit about 3 inches or more.

Im planning one with about 50 gallons so still a nano. I cant find any helpfull videos so idk how hard itll be, but ive heard its really hard. I hope not because i just find it more pleasing
