Looks like cyano not algae. Chemiclean should do the trick.

I believe it’s cyano, I am new to saltwater, lots of freshwater experience, is there a better option for the tank than nukeing it with chemiclean?

Not that I’m aware of. I have used chemiclean once before and it didn’t have any ill effects for me.

How long is your light on for each day?

Bout 7-7 on, the rest off

Id cut about 4 off your schedule to help prevent thjs from coming back quickly. When lights are on for too long algae does better then corals. Corals only need 4 to 6 hours but 8 is fine and 10 is usually a good max. Start with less then add more time as the tank ins a better place

I’ll give it a try thankyou

Manual removal is always my go-to. Let it run its course while manually removing it, and it'll disappear quite quickly. Anything else has the potential to affect the other organisms in your tank. Although, I believe that a common solution for cyano is to increase the flow in the areas that it's growing.

Goes away naturally with time eventually the coralline algae will outcompete it, your rock is still fresh
