Is this GHA? It's not green, it looks brown to me but could be from my largely royal blue lighting config. It's single dots with multiple strands. Glass/glassware only, not stone. Brushes off easy. Looks like diatoms to me but.. the strands?

That definitely looks like diatoms to me especially with how easily it brushes off the glass. Totally normal for a new tank and those brown patches usually clear up on their own after a few weeks. I remember stressing about this phase too but it’s just part of the ugly stage!

more info: Tank is ~6 weeks old. Lots of diatoms on rock, and some green dust algae on rocks. Doesn't appear slimy, no bubbles. Hoping it's not dinos.
