Spooked! First time he noticed the natural sunlight in the evening. Didn’t know they could change their colors so much. Almost looks like he was trying to mimic the shimmer of the leds or purple coral.

That color shift is wild! Foxfaces really know how to blend in when they want to. The way your coral colors pop under the evening light makes that little guy look like part of the reef itself!

Cool, never knew that happened on a foxface
Seriously! Crazy to see him turn a completely different color than yellow.
Same thing happened with my watchman goby, shame my phone was dead so I couldn’t snap a pic
