I spot feed mine about every 1-2 weeks with mysis or chopped shrimp and it seems to really help with their colors and growth. They get some nutrients from the water and light too but a little extra food keeps them happy and encourages those wavy tentacles! How big is your anemone? That can change
thank you. maybe an inch? i'm really not sure. he is behind some rock and he's hosting my female clownfish yay! is the point not to have them split?
Nice! An inch sounds like a tiny dude still. Yeah, usually you donβt want them splitting too much in a nano
i have a 125 gallon tank. does that make any difference?
I have a 90 with a rose tip and a cony I feed them weekly. Small pieces of shrimp and clam.

I was feeding weekly. Clams, shrimp etc. They were splitting like crazy. I do 2-3 weeks. They are sufficiently photosynthetic. However in non mature tanks with a small microbiome footprint spot feeding is advised. This is why they are advised for mature tanks. It doesn't hurt to spot feed. However they grow a lot faster.
thank you!
