And how big is your tank?
.5 ammonia is toxic for your livestock. I would do a full water change asap. I’m guessing the sore is some type of bacterial infection. I would buy a 40g breeder tank and monitor the naso tang in there. It’s not going to do well in a 13g.

How big is the tank? If it’s 13g thats wayyyy too small. Recommendations for Naso Tangs are 180g+ but necessity is anything 6 feet long so 125g minimum. If he’s in a smaller tank he’s prob contributing to the high ammonia levels which are toxic to the fish. Need to get ammonia down and ensure fish is in appropriately sized CYCLED tank so ammonia doesn’t reach detectable levels.
