Hi all,
Wonder if you can help.
My tank at the moment is using KH like you wouldn’t believe. Levels I have never seen before.
I am currently dosing Red Sea Foundation B (image below), alongside foundation A and C.
My question, Is there a cheaper alternative available in the UK with the same quality? Or would anyone know a reason as to why the KH is depleting so quickly?
For reference, I like to keep the KH around 10 and dosing around 212ml per week to maintain this level! (via automatic daily dosing of 30ml)
My Red Sea Max Nano reef tank, home to a pair of clownfish, a canary blenny, and a pair of cardinals. The reef includes a bubble tip anemone, hammer corals, toadstools, candy cane coral, and a rock flower anemone.
Red Sea Max Nano XL
Upgraded tanks and this one is a little wider than my last.
I have 4 Red Sea 90s. Looks like the light won’t be in the exact middle of tank, and I can’t find that they make any kind of extensions.
Think this will be a problem?
Can anyone identify this critter on my live rock please? Recent tank changes are I added x4 coral frags - A duncan, a zoa, a toadstool and green star polyp. All were dipped using red sea dip x thank you
Red Sea 200xl. It’s coming along. I’ve had this one set up since December.
Red Sea e170 coming along nicely
Can Red Sea coral dipX kill the torch? I got it a couple days ago and I’m already losing 2 heads. My other torch is thriving so not sure why that one is not doing that good
What are everyone thoughts on the Red Sea test kits?
Hey guys! Need a little help… I was doing my weekend maintenance and checked my parameters… nitrates are reading 0. I tested twice with a Red Sea test to make sure and got 0 both times. Everything seems happy right now but I want to get them up so avoid any future issues. Only thing I can think to do is increase feedings and maybe switch my filter sock changes from twice a week to once? Would that be the safest, gradual way to handle it? I used to feed twice a day pellets and seaweed pellets, and coral food/mysis twice a week, but I tended to be a heavy feeder and fed them once a day generously, then still the coral/mysis twice a week. Thoughts?
My first dive into saltwater. A Red Sea 170.

I’d like to ask for some advice and experience on how to care for bleached torch corals and help them recover from the stress and damage caused by recent harvesting. Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
I’m currently using Red Sea’s ABCD supplements but feel that the effectiveness is quite low. I’m considering switching to the Coral System 1-2-3-4. My KH is being maintained at around 9.5–10 dKH.
