A couple of weeks in and things are going decently well! Introducing clowns has been much more stressful than I anticipated!
Yes, I said a couple of weeks. My tank was bought as an established set up with live rock, GSP, an orange storm clown, a pajama cardinal, and four scarlet hermit crabs. It went through a mini cycle as the bacteria recovered from the move and is now experiencing a mini ugly phase as parameters stabilize. CUC was added after the tank finished cycling (I added extra bacteria to give it a boost), and now I'm working on introducing a black and white ocellaris to my orange storm. My orange storm is a butt so she's in breeder box jail for a bit.
I managed to catch my clowns and get my anemone off the rock last night before the lights went out. Now hopefully the learn that they can live together and will host so I can release them back into the tank in a few days. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Toby’s separated again
Day #1 (RE CONTINUED) updating my tank
Bought a turbo snail and RBTA (red bubble tip anemone) yesterday
And the anemone was looking fine today.
except the snail... Still hiding in shell (still alive
Just set up this quarantine tank it’s a 20 gallon tub I’m pretty sure it’s velvet, but I just recently got a tang
and it brought some velvet to my tank it’s my first time posting but what do you guys think of the treatment I’m using please give suggestions 😬😄
Quarantineing the Tangs before I move them to the new tank. Inplant to add a few new fish before these guy get in there. So this way the new fish have time to establish them selves while the tang gang takes a break.
Ok guys. Not sure what to do about him. He’s still alive and I have him in a little box. But idk. Can he be saved?
First watchman goby died, tank parameters were fine and fish looked intact. Dude was just a ball of stress from the get go, the rest of the fish from that shipment acclimated successfully.
Second watchman in the QT with a tailspot blenny.
Midas blenny jumped and experienced a 4 foot drop into a bunch of dog hair.
And my new favorite mushroom
Dip your corals folks!
Rescued this foxface from PETCO (they were going to put him down so just gave him to me). He is quite emaciated, you can see his poor bones. He’s in quarantine right now. The past two days he’s gotten garlic soaked seaweed, flakes and frozen variety. He’s eating some but not much. Started prazi today in case he has internal parasites. Really wishing I could get him to eat more! Any suggestions are appreciated 😊

Picking up this 300g monster and bringing it back home over 2 hours away in a few weeks. Any suggestions or recommendations from the pros to try to have a smooth move and keep everything alive?
