Finally up and running! It’s been a slow journey (bought this the week before Christmas!) I have learned quite a bit along the way and still learning more as I fine tune things here and there. The wife and I are super happy with how it all turned out.
Cycling now with some Turbostart and will be checking the parameters over the next few weeks before I start swapping over the gang from my Biocube and our last 2 velvet survivors from the Hospital tank.
Working out a random intermittent gurgle from the sump every once in a while, but other than that all is good with no leaks!
My first custom 3d print.
Doser and ATO for my 20 gallon long sump.
A few items showed up for the new build… Reef Savvy 600g display. Geo’s Reef CaRx, KalkRx, and Ozone Rx. Dual Abyzz A200 pumps. Royal Exclusive Bubble king DeLuxe 300 skimmer and fleece roller. Advance Acrylics custom occ sump.
Perfect filter? 🤔
Water fill day 💦 👏
We have upgraded to a Redsea 750 G2 XXL 🤩
I’m just so happy I now have a sump 🤣
Redid my sump! Figured it’d be much more efficient this way instead of running straight into a media basket. Just got the BRS reactor to run carbon as well. Also… I am not good at cutting acrylic.. but it works!
Well decided that I’m going to convert my AIO. Got everything i need for it. A weekend project when everything comes in
On the other side of the same wall as my DT, is my fishroom with the frag tank and the shared sump. I just added a Marine Spectra Kalkalator a couple weeks ago for my first foray into dosing Kalakwasser. So far so good. Corals look happy!
My diy underbelly for the 30 gallon nano… 5 gallon glass sump with homemade baffles, diy algae reactor, custom homemade drawstring sock setup. I just switched back do the BRS dosing pumps on a Wi-Fi power strip.
Sorta new to the hobby but built this tank using a 40 gal breeder and a 20 gal sump about two months ago. Wire management has been fixed.
Switched from canister to sump—tank’s more stable, easier upkeep, and filter socks beat weekly canister cleanings any day! #saltwateraquarium
Working on the DIY reef controller this evening...
