Description
The Longfin Batfish is a large, laterally compressed marine fish with dramatic elongated dorsal and anal fins, especially as a juvenile. It is attractive and graceful but grows very large and requires a spacious aquarium with excellent water quality and plenty of swimming room.

Requires a very large marine aquarium with stable salinity, temperature around 72-78°F, moderate water flow, strong filtration, high oxygenation, and open swimming space. Best kept in clean, well-maintained systems with peaceful to moderately active companions.
Behavior
Generally calm and slow-swimming, often seen cruising open water. Juveniles can be shy at first, while adults are usually bold and may be kept singly or in very large systems with compatible tankmates.
