Bought 2 both died of some unknown illness. Not sure how to get this species to survive in aquariums as nobody mentions any specific care for this species. Apparently a notoriously poor shipper.

A beautiful fish with unique colors. The smaller size on this wrasse makes it good for medium aquariums but I would not go below 50 gallons, they enjoy to swim around the tank and require a space to do so. A decent sand bed is also a necessity as they bury themselves at night to sleep. Mine shows a little bit of aggression towards other wrasse but never anything extreme and like most wrasse this one also likes to jump so a lid would help keep them safe.
