Can someone HELP my tank is really foggy I added some sand weeks ago and it’s still really foggy and if I look down by the sand it’s like I can see the foggy-ness coming off the sand idk I rinsed the sand really good can someone explain this

Yeah I have been so unlucky I had all my coral and fish die in one tank to then fog in this tank and my 40 gallon I tested both of the tanks water and it’s fine idk what’s happening and I had to chromis die today

I usually rinse my sand with rodi water to clear up the debris. Seems like your cycling correct?

Run carbon and skimmer

Not 100% on this, but you could try calcium carbonate which naturally binds particles and makes them easier to get caught in the filter. Sometimes fogging could also be a bacterial bloom when a tank is cycling

Filter socks/floss, carbon. Run heavier filters

Sounds like sand dust bro. Give it time or try some carbon and more flow.
