I personally do not like api there kinda low grade I typically use Hannah there way easier and better app I started with but had the same issues

I mean, I understand that. I just have what I’m able to afford. Still gives me a range of an idea on where the levels are.

API are no good tbh . Get salifert kits . Or Hannah .

Api is good to start with for sure but I had lots of issues with them there are some affordable options though but if it's what you got atm is say maybe try puting your thumb on the top when you shake it

Even a red sea marine salt water test kit is viable but investing into one is well worth it instead of losing live stock or coral witch can literly ruin your tank and your vibe on keeping one
