If your home is at least 70 degrees your tank will be okay without heaters for a few hours. Your number 1 concern if power goes out is oxygen. Stagnant water means no gas exchange at the surface. You will want to find a way to move the surface of the water. Stir it every few minutes Add an airstone (battery operated ones are great) Put a cordless fan pointing at the surface. The tank can survive a while without a heater or filtration but oxygen is vital.

I have a battery operated air stone. I was more concerned about heat

If the temp is the tank is not rapidly falling it should be okay. Most of the time heat is the last concern if your in an insulated space. Heaters consume more power then most reefing equipment so they burn through battery backups much quicker.

Unless you have a way to heat the house with the power outage a battery is how I'd keep heat going if it is dropping in temp
