It’s not instant. But it has to work. Depending on your tank volume and size of skimmer, it might take a couple weeks to make a difference. Let me back up a second. A pH of 8.3 may not be available to you unless you use a multiple of methods, outside air, Kalkwasser, scrubber etc. utilizing outside air is a no brainer as it can only help. You should be just trying to raise pH. For that matter you haven’t stated what your current day/ night pH range is currently. Also are you using Kalkwasser or a calcium reactor or two part?
