My protein skimmer used to work fine. Now no matter what I tune it to it bubbles over the top. What happened with it? Is it broke? Any ideas???

I had a similar issue I had to raise my skimmer about 3-4 inches in order for it to work properly, I had some of this grate still left over from a previous project and it works perfectly

Had the same issue... And I figured. It needed to be at a steady water height of 3.5 inches to work properly.
