For those who don’t recall or didn’t see my earlier post, I rescued a purple tang from PETCO with full blown ich. I treated her with 14 days copper which was pretty rough on her as she ended up with HLLE going through treatment. Humble fish recommends 14 days post copper treatment in a copper free observation tank. Her 14 days is up on Tuesday. Her HLLE has improved being out of the copper but isn’t gone. How long does it typically take for HLLE to clear up? Will moving to the display help it clear up faster? I’m thinking it will so I’m anxious to get her in there but don’t want to rush the 14 days post treatment.

This is what I'd do
Enriched Nori & Seaweed – Daily feeding with vitamin-enriched seaweed (Selcon, VitaChem, or garlic-infused). High-Quality Pellets & Frozen Foods – Offer Omega-3 rich foods like New Life Spectrum pellets and frozen spirulina brine/mysis shrimp. Fresh Vegetables – Blanched zucchini, spinach, and other greens help provide additional vitamins. Vitamin Supplementation – Soak food in Selcon, VitaChem, or Brightwell Vitamarin-C to boost immunity
It may take on a small case usually resolves with in 8 weeks but if you keep water condition good and follow a good diet listed above it should resolve very easily just takes time
Thank you! It wasn’t a severe case but looked rough after the copper but looking better and eating well salt no signs of remaining ich so think things are on the right track but no experience with HLLE so glad to hear it takes time because it’s only been 12 days out of copper.
Yeah that's good to know I've never had a fish with it before
Cleaner shrimp help prevent it alot
