I F0<43D up BIG time!!!!! First time in my reefing journey I want to cry 😭 I’m usually super careful with my water changes. Test refill water and tank before and test tank after. I woke up early this morning and tried to do a water change before work. Suggestion: NEVER DO THAT 😭 I would have sworn up and down that my salt container was mixed and ready to go two days ago. I have NO IDEA what happened or if I’m just losing my mind. I just did a 20% change with RODI 🫠🫠 then. I panicked. Added dry salt to the tank. Because ya know… you can’t make one mistake. Have to compound them. My initial change dropped 1.025 to 1.020. Added about 5 cups of salt to my display 😭 then realized I’m an idiot and added two more to the filter sock.

Oh no! Fish and coral are more resilient than some give them credit for. Like you said nothing more you can do at this point. Let’s hope for the best. 🤞 A couple weeks ago my temp controller got unplugged and my tank dropped 10° over night. Thankfully nobody was harmed.
Thanks! They are swimming around looking fine right now. My corals are all contracted but hoping by the time my lights start coming on everything will be dissolved and they can show some face to let me know they will be ok haha
I almost cooked my tank 89-90ish when I got up for work …… I was late to work … everyone’s alive :) live n learn
I killed my starfish… I think everything else survived though. A few of my corals are still pissed but I’m hoping they pull through

I basted my rocks and corals to remove some of the settled salt. I waited a few short minutes (because now I’m panicking and late) and tested at 1.023 but I know they’re no way it’s all dissolved that fast. I will be heavily watching my ring all day. Not that I can even do anything at this point anyways except let my anxiety keep rising and hope everyone makes it through. Maybe cry. We’ll see.
