I’ll be leaving my nano tank unattended for 2 weeks, longest it’ll be left alone since I started little over a year ago. Hope it stays happy until I get back!
Power went out last night tank dropped to 72°. Just got my tank and fridge hooked up to a generator.
I’m only worried about keeping the return pump and heater on. The lights and everything else are not a necessity. Hope the power comes back soon. All is good and no need to panic 🙂
Anyone have an issue with the water in the return chamber on their 20 gal AIO raises very slowly? It is not my ATO... Works fine.. I noticed it at night only. Anyone ever have it where electric surges (ACs kicking on)caused the pump to slow just a little that causes it to increase?
What is everyone doing for backup power? I have a generator for when I'm here to hook up, but what is everyone doing if your not home? If I'm at work and the power goes out to get me until I get home. I was looking at the eco flow Delta 2 to run my return pump and heater. Will the Delta 2 automatically switch to battery if power goes out? My tank is only 20 gallons so it looses heat fast.
Finally got around to testing my tank parameters again. I have updated them on here. Lights have been blue all day cuz power went out and my light is weird. Hoping to get some new critters soon.
Here is the tank when I first set it up. 55 gallon tank with 20 gallon sump underneath in which I also made. Don’t worry, it does not overflow if the siphon stops or the power goes out! I definitely checked everything before setting up completely!
Made it through Milton here in central Florida. Missing shingles but never lost power. My frogspawn was knocked over in our saltwater aquarium (guess I should name our urchin Milton lol). We were lucky though. Never lost power. I know this app is used by people everywhere but those who were/are in central Florida, we hope everyone is safe!
Good day to ask what everyone uses for back up? Expecting 2 feet of snow here
