Canary Wrasses prefer a tank with plenty of hiding spots and open space for swimming. They are reef safe and will not harm corals or invertebrates, making them a good choice for reef tanks. They also prefer a sandy substrate as they like to burrow.
Behavior
Canary Wrasses are active swimmers and will spend most of their day exploring their surroundings. They are peaceful and get along well with other non-aggressive species. They are also known to bury themselves in the sand when they feel threatened or during the night for sleep.

Love the bright yellow coloring. Buries in the sand at night and anytime I put my hand in the tank or look at him wrong haha. But I think he eats a few of my pests in the tank. Never seen him act aggressively.

Cute and vibrant fish. Of the reef safe wrasses this is usually the most affordable and available. They don’t get too large so I could see people keeping them in 40 breeders and doing well. As far as wrasse go I love them all so I would definitely get another one of these.

One of my favourites, eats pests but also can eat small crustaceans when it reaches its full size so be wary of that. Sleeps in the sand so sand is essential. Its color is very bright so it really stands out
