Description
The One Spot Foxface is a hardy rabbitfish with a laterally compressed bright yellow body, black-and-white facial pattern, and a distinct dark spot on the rear half of its body. It is popular in marine aquariums for its algae-grazing ability and generally calm nature, but it has venomous dorsal spines and requires adequate swimming space.

Environment
Requires a stable saltwater aquarium with excellent water quality, ample live rock for grazing and shelter, open swimming space, and secure aquascaping. Best kept in tropical marine conditions with temperatures around 72-78 F, pH 8.1-8.4, and specific gravity 1.023-1.025.
Behavior
Active daytime swimmer that spends much of its time grazing on algae. Usually peaceful but can become territorial toward similar-shaped fish or other rabbitfish. May wedge itself into rockwork when stressed or sleeping.
