Description
The Pearlscale Butterflyfish, also known as the Yellow-dotted Butterflyfish, is a strikingly beautiful fish with a light yellow body covered in black dots. It has a pearlescent sheen which gives it its name. The edges of its dorsal and anal fins are highlighted in a vibrant yellow.

No. While it is not aggressive towards other fish, it can harm coral and invertebrates, making it unsuitable for reef aquariums.
Environment
The Pearlscale Butterflyfish thrives in a well-lit aquarium with plenty of hiding spaces. It prefers a tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. It is important to maintain high water quality as this species is sensitive to poor water conditions.
Behavior
This species is generally peaceful but may become territorial with other butterflyfish. They are known to be active swimmers and are most active during the day.
