Description
The Red frogfish is a compact, brightly colored ambush predator with a globose body, textured skin, and modified dorsal spine that acts like a lure to attract prey. It is a master of camouflage and spends much of its time perched on rock or substrate waiting to strike.

Requires a stable marine aquarium with excellent water quality, gentle to moderate flow, secure aquascape with perching spots, and temperatures around 72-78 F. Best kept with subdued competition and no small tankmates that may be eaten.
Behavior
A sedentary ambush hunter that moves slowly, often perching motionless for long periods. It uses a lure to attract prey and can consume surprisingly large tankmates.
