Description
The Thalassoma Wrasse is a vibrant and colorful saltwater fish that is popular among aquarists for its active behavior and stunning appearance. Its body exhibits a mix of bright colors, including green, blue, yellow, and pink, which change as the fish matures. Thalassoma Wrasses are known for their hardiness and adaptability, making them a great choice for both novice and experienced fish keepers.
Reef Safe
With caution. While Thalassoma Wrasses are not typically harmful to coral, they may eat small invertebrates and crustaceans.
Environment
Thalassoma Wrasses thrive in a well-established aquarium with plenty of hiding spots and swimming space. They prefer a sandy substrate where they can burrow and sleep at night. The water temperature should be kept between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
Behavior
These fish are active swimmers and spend most of their time in the open water. Thalassoma Wrasses are known to be jumpers, so a securely fitted tank lid is necessary. They are generally peaceful but can be territorial with other wrasses.

This family of fish has incredible color and personality. Every thassaloma wrasse I’ve kept I’ve fallen in love with, my favorites being the Male Banana Wrasse, Goldbar Wrasse, Rainbow Cortez Wrasse, and the Clown Surge Wrasse.
