How of doing people do a water change or how often should we do one. So my tank is about 4 months old now and have been doing a watcher change every two weeks. Its been through all it's cycles and now all readings are coming back perfect and salinity is also spot on. My question is do I need to keep doing a water change every two weeks if my reading are spot on or can a leave it a bit longer now ?

I do a water change every 2-3 weeks depending on how I’ve been feeding. If I’m not getting the polyp extension I’m used to seeing that usually my indicator tha I need to do a water change. I have a lot on goniporas in my tank and they seem to suck up nutrients/trace elements
I do an 8-10gal water change every 7-10 days for my 32gal depending on what’s happening in life. If nutrients are too high I try to ensure it is weekly. I have a 134gal system that has been running for a month - doing a small water change of max 8-10gals today. Bioload is low so the parameters have been pretty good and haven’t yet needed to use my skimmer.

If everything looks good you can stretch it to a month. I think everyone has varying opinions on water changes. My tank is almost 5 years old and I do a water change every 1-2 months
Yes different opinions is so hard when your looking for an answer on anything tank related. Thanks for your advice. My gut feeling was i could leave it a little longer.
