Sand adding question
Can I add more sand to my tank mid cycle it’s currently got live sand in it that’s very fine and I want to add a courser one to stop it blowing around in the flow so much .
Will this affect my cycle and harm already active bacteria on the sand already in the tank

Adding coarser sand mid cycle is chill just expect cycle prob to slow a bit. Helps with flow for sure

Won't harm any bacteria but it can prolong the cycle making it a tad longer. Anything that is beneficial to the tank, the cycle is worth it. This will also happen if you add rock.
