Any suggestions for getting new fish to understand its feeding time? This is my first saltwater tank, and my largest tank, so I am used to fresh water greedy fish who smell food and go crazy.
Is there any routine or tips that work for you?

honestly just feeding at the exact time everyday can work. When I shut off my return pump, my clowns, firefish, and watchman goby all start to move to the surface or higher parts of the water
This is what I have...

Honestly, time. They’ll figure out it’s food once they get hungry enough lol but my go-to food for a fish that won’t eat is garlic-soaked mysis
Feeding at same time and I turn off all my flow. They know instantly it’s feeding time

The first 2-3 days of getting a new fish they can be very hesitant of you. I would pick one spot in the tank that you always feed so they know that is the feeding area. Put a small amount of food there 2/3 times per day even if they don’t eat it. Eventually they will be hungry and figure out their new feeding routine. Turkey basting in some frozen food is always a good option.
