Best way of getting rid of bubble algae?
I’ve got an infestation going on an I keep manually removing it when I can. Seems like I remove a lot then it’s is back in force a week later. I’ve been hooking up my siphon to dump into a filter sock to help stop the spread.
Picture is from before I spent an hour cleaning up the rock.
I’ve got 1 pithos crab and he isn’t cutting it! I’ve got a fox face and he seems to care less about it as well.
Tank is a 80 display with a 30 gallon sump.
Phosphates are near 0 (0.00 to 0.02) nitrates are 0-4, dkh of 8.5. Calc 430 mag 1450.
The numbers have been pretty stable the past couple months.
I feel like I’m knee deep in bubble algae and it is making me want to tear everything down and start over.

Any suggestions on getting rid of this bubble algae??
Ok Experts, any idea what this is? Thought it was bubble algae but I pulled the coral out and it is rock hard and I cannot remove it from this coral!
I scrubbed the rocks, & did a 3 gallon water change and added some snails. Let me know what y’all think. Just an update on the Bubble Tip anemone / Hair Algae issue.

Hi guys, does anyone know what these shiny green bubbles are? They are fairly hard.
The real question is what are those green things? It was on my live rock that I got from the aquarium work my bta are they poisonous parasite do I remove them? And then and the second photo you see these green hard bubble things on the rock what is that as well?
Got two emerald crabs to beat back my bubble algae problem a few months ago. Safe to say that they have cleaned up my tank ridiculously well! One of them has gotten absolutely massive
There are bubbles on my rock. They go up and pop. Is there a remedy? Is this danger?
I’m very proud of my first reef tank. Starting to look great! Have some hair algae and bubble algae yet but just bought 3 emerald crabs so I hope they help out!
If anyone sees anything that needs to be fixed, please let me know. I have no idea what I’m doing but learning as I go.
Btw, I wish someone would’ve told me about a UV sterilizer sooner. This thing is a miracle! My water has never been so clear!
