Extremely active fish, perfect for beginners especially for nano tanks ( around 40L ). But be aware, they are jumpers !!!

I love my clown fish. I have 5 in total. 2 maroons in my 40 gallon and 3 ocellarius in my 20 gallon. Very easy to care for and are always out and about.

@vegatron
Amazing grey fish, they are intelligent and recognize their owners. If you get them an Anemone you get to see their amazing symbiotic relationship. Definitely my favorite Marine fish.

@Tyguy
Overall a great fish very active in the tank and kind with corals, they live to host in anemones. Almost all fish stores carry them too!

I can’t say my clowns are the nicest fish in the tank… but they have so much personality and are super fun. I’ll always have a pair of clowns in any tank I own.

You can’t go wrong with a pair of clownfish! I think they’re beautiful and are the perfect starter fish. 🐠
Meg
@Meg373
They’re a pain, they love to make you think they’re sick or that something’s wrong so you feed them. The most dramatic fish I’ve ever owned. 10/10 would buy again

@SassyTurtle12
Classic fish. I do not have an anemone, so my pair of misbar clowns are always busily swimming around together in the upper water column. They are like the goldfish of the sea; cute, dumb, and happy. Pros: active, colorful, easy to keep Cons: some can be aggressive with age Availability: can buy them anywhere

A hardy, beautiful addition to any tank. It is easily fed and will eat almost anything as this species is an opportunistic feeder. Very peaceful but will defend its territory against new commers.

@purceyb
Don’t leave your fingers in tank too long! 😂 Easy to care for, love watching them swimming around. I enjoy watching them and they’re always first to the dinner table..
Alessandro
@ASVAquatics
They are very easy only thing is if they find there spot they won’t tend to move away from it. If so get an anemone in the future.

Must have for any salt water tank. If you don’t have one what are you even doing.

@MalEficent
They’ll eat anything frozen. Always visible but does still to a single section of the tank. Beautiful fish.

I have a pair of nearly naked Black clowns and they have been amazing!

@sillystring
Beautiful coloration and very active! She's accepts food from my fingers and is very fun to watch. She hasn't shown any aggression towards my inverts or pajama cardinal but she has been pretty aggressive towards the second clown I've been trying to bond her with. Lots of unprovoked chasing and nipping. She does NOT like having another clownfish in her space.

@sillystring
Wonderful addition to the tank! Cute personality and very active. He comes up to the front when I'm around to beg for food and hosts pretty much any coral. At my LFS he was switching between hosting a hammer, toadstool, xenia, and a duncan. He has also been very willing to bond with my established ocellaris which has been great.

@MaxB.
They can be a bit territorial so add in the more shy fish before them, they are curious fish with a lot of personality and will watch you and come up to you to check you out through the glass. They’re also bulletproof, I had my heater break for a night and the temp dip to 68 while I was away and they’re fine, they eat almost anything and they survived flukes. Great fish to keep!

@Nigel473
Enjoyable fish to own, first saltwater tank and fish for me. Have a fun personality, have a pair of them who can be playful but also assert dominance against each other occasionally (normal behaviour). Would have them again great fish.

Is a nice color change to your common clownfish colors with more black than anything would recommend especially to newcomers
Cooper O’Dell
@Cjodell8
One of my favorite less pricy clowns with some flair. Sure to look good in your tank.
Cooper O’Dell
@Cjodell8
A very hardy fish same as the common ocellaris but with a little more design added in
Koco
@Koco217
Clowns but a little different.
Corbin Swinney
@CorbinSwinney17506
Love a nice snowflake clown! They are such beautiful fish and always visible as long as what they are hosted by is visible. My only complaint is they become territorial once established in the tank.
Cooper O’Dell
@Cjodell8
Cool clown to have was a little bit more nippy than other clowns I’ve had
Cooper O’Dell
@Cjodell8

A really cool clown to have beautiful pattern but a little pricy would suggest if you have the budget

@562_Reefin
Playful little guys who love to eat and have beautiful patterns. They look great against the black substrate in my tank.
Maurice
@Maurice
Active fish with a lot of personality. If kept together they should be paired. Buying them as juveniles will get them paired.
Maurice
@Maurice
The black and white ocellaris varies a bit in colour with some examples being completely black and white and some other examples with black and white body and orange face. This fish is visible almost all the time. If kept together they should be paired. Funny fish with a lot of character.
Cooper O’Dell
@Cjodell8
Very great starter fish I personally had these for a long time and did my live start with these. Very hardy and for the most part very friendly fish
Cooper O’Dell
@Cjodell8
Great clown with beautiful colors on it seems to always want to hang out where it can be seen

@Cjodell8
I have not had this clown for long but it has been one of the most active and friendly clowns I’ve had seems to always be happy to show off its home
Dave
@milld119
Do you really have a saltwater tank if you don’t have a Nemo…? This fish is always visible and very hardy (thank goodness). Mine gets along with all other tank mates. Anemone are great with clowns but seeing how most clown fish now are farm raised, they’ve never seen a nem, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t benefit from one in the tank once your tank is established enough.

One of my favorites. Simple but adds a pop of color. My two are super peaceful and docile even towards me, which can be unheard of for clowns!
